I'm really looking forward to playing again with my good friend and blues musician extraordinaire Ken Kawashima. Ken has a superbly raw and elegantly spare take on blues-style expression, whether on electric or acoustic guitar, or blues harp. Ken spent many years playing the Chicago blues circuit, real blues joints with real blues people, and it was there that he honed his skills and really moved deep into the style. I just really love his feel, his sound and his spirit, and I'm happy he'll be getting away from his teaching gig at the University of Toronto to get over to Tokyo for some playing. Y'all come!
